Campaign against obesity, Learn to grow healthily with Max

A new campaign promoted by Puleva and AESAN (Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition) will try to promote healthy habits in children, this is the campaign Learn to grow healthy with Max.

Puleva has edited for the campaign a collection of children's stories written by Paloma Lago, a television presenter linked to the world of childhood thanks to the programs she has presented for this audience. These stories will be distributed in some 10,000 educational centers throughout Spain.

Two concepts are intended to unify in this initiative, adequate food and the promotion of reading, for this there are two titles The adventures of Max and his friends, aimed at children between 4 and 7 years and The great career of the forest of the lynx, for children between 8 and 12 years old. The project in question has been supervised by a group of experts in different areas, child psychology, nutrition, sport, etc., this supervision serves to ensure that the message of the stories was adjusted in order to prevent childhood obesity.

We personally believe that these types of initiatives, although laudable, have little impact on the child population, perhaps a closer campaign would be much more effective where parents and educators also participate, because we already know that what is encouraged at home is one of the most important aspects to acquire healthy habits.
