Eurest and FACE improve the attention to celiac children who eat at school

Although the diagnosis of celiac disease changes the diet of the affected people forever, they can continue with their lives, studying, working, relating, as long as your diet is gluten free.

As you know, gluten is an agent present in cereals as common as wheat, barley, rye and probably oats.

That with regard to family feeding, whether the sick are adults as if they are children (In the latter case, it is convenient to educate them). The time of purchase sometimes leads to added complications, due to processed foods, since sweets, salad dressings, battered foods, sausages ... may contain gluten, hence the importance of reliable labeling, and spending time reading labels .

It is also important to choose menus well when eating out, but what happens when children stay to eat at school? On this subject we have already spoken on occasions, but today we have to congratulate Eurest (collective restoration company) for the collaboration agreement with the Federation of Celiac Associations of Spain (FACE), since They are committed to sharing procedures and processes for handling gluten-free menus prepared in kitchens of collective dining rooms managed by Eurest.

The company serves more than 130000 menus every day (of which more than 8000 are special diets) in more than 1250 educational centers. In Spain the activity is carried out through six brands, of which Scolarest is specifically dedicated to education

The collaboration agreement lays its foundations on the training and advice by FACE to the technical staff of Eurest, Eurest's guarantee of supply of specific products for celiacs previously controlled by FACE and the sharing of procedures and processes for handling gluten-free menus prepared in kitchens managed by Eurest.

I think we are on the way to getting allergies integrated into society, we may be far from the goal, but initiatives like this agreement they are very important for people with celiac disease.
