Just ten days ago VelSid told us about the case of identical triplets born in Austria whose parents placed colored bracelets to identify them, as I have seen in the news.
Today we know of an even more strange case, the birth of identical quadruplets conceived naturally, like the triplets.
Little Autumn, Brooke, Calissa and Dalia, dubbed by doctors A, B, C and D, were born last Sunday in Canada (actually in a Montana hospital but are Canadian) by caesarean section two months ahead of schedule.
They weigh between a kilo and 1.33 kg, but they are perfectly and have not needed the help of breathing machines.
The curious thing about these cases is that girls have been conceived through the fertilization of a single ovum, which was then divided into four embryos, so they share the same genetic information.
What I do not quite understand is that in the case of triplets, doctors have indicated that there is a case between 200 million, while in the case of quadruplets they indicated that one occurs in 13 million.
Anyway, this has been a busy year in terms of multiple births in Canada, since the first days of January we learned of the arrival in the world of sextuplets in Vancouver.
