We inform you of the call for the II Children's Story Contest "Breastfeeding and Parenting" organized by the Catalan Federation of Breastfeeding Support Groups that with this initiative aims encourage and normalize breastfeeding and natural upbringing within the context of children's literature and specifically in the world of stories.
The previous call was a success with 53 participants from Spain and other countries and The winning story and the finalists were published in Catalan, Spanish, Galician and Basque. What the organizers are looking for is that the Presence of breastfeeding in children's stories may appear contextualized and normalized as an intrinsic part of children's lives, of their families and of society.
And they also consider it important that we can see reflected in the stories a type of parenting that follows the recommendations of the World Health Organization and UNICEF for the welfare of current and future generations.
The rules of the contest and the prizes are on the web. We already announce that it is about illustrated stories, of an extension of 5 sheets DINA4 and the term is until July 30, 2008.
