Weekly children's menu to print: food in drawings

One way for the child to learn to eat healthy and enjoy a balanced diet is to make meals a fun time. For it we can print this menu that shows the food drawings. So they themselves will know the best to take at breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner.

As it is intended for children of two or three years, the drawings are the ideal way for them to understand their menu, because if we had written it they would not read it and it would be something "older". In addition, drawings of children's characters and personalization with their name will make it their own.

I have made two versions of the menu, which you can print below and complete with the name of your children. Stuck in the fridge we can go consulting with them "what touches".

I think that children of this age, who are learning to speak and expanding their vocabulary, one of the games that attract them most is to locate the words in the drawings or, conversely, to name the drawings they observe. It is a fun way to get to know more food and to face mealtime with one more incentive.

What should a children's menu include?

The fundamental thing in these menus is that they are varied and balanced (as long as we do not go in quantity and the food is of quality), rich in vitamins and minerals, which cover all the nutritional needs of children from two to three years.

Breakfast It is a very important meal, the first of the day, and must be done completely and with enough time.

The order and composition of the snack and dinner can be exchanged. It will depend, as we said, on whether you already have dinner with your family (we can leave the milk for a snack) or if the child goes to bed soon (better to go to bed without having had too much dinner, he will take the milk for dinner).

I have suppressed lunch, for reasons of space but also because at this age many children do not usually have lunch, or do not do it at home. However, if you eat late it is convenient to introduce a fruit for lunch after breakfast.
