Babies sedated in a nursery

Since this news jumped I have been attentive to its development and I have not wanted to comment it until the case was investigated, to have as much data as possible before making my comment. It all started when the possible media arrived Sedation of babies in a nursery.

Several babies, when their parents picked them up from the nursery after a seemingly normal day, in which no one had warned of problems, were completely sleepy, some in a truly worrying state. They went to the hospital where the first impression was that they had been sedated, and several of them were hospitalized although, fortunately, they recovered.

The room where the children were sealed was sealed and investigations began, proving that the children had received a high dose of tranquilizers. The police investigated the case and medical tests were sent that reinforced the first impressions.

As the investigation progressed, a woman was reached who worked with the babies and who was reportedly under medical treatment that agreed with the medication found in the babies, although she denies having given them.

It seems that she is the only one accused in this case, which seems to me enormously worrying, although I confess that I do not know what the legislation on the responsibility of the owners of these centers says if something like what happened has happened.

Are there sufficient means of control in daycare centers so that these events cannot occur and detect them, at least, before the parents realize?

I am still worried that these things may be possible, more than for how rare it is that a person capable of this behavior is found, because there are no means of controlling the behavior of babies in cases that, if they fail to alert the parents because of their seriousness, it seems that they can happen without the staff perceiving it.

I imagine that the parents who take their children to a daycare center go around a thousand laps until they find the most appropriate one, but it is also true that the parents of children involved in cases as serious as this had not noticed anything before it happened .

Do you consider that there are sufficient control measures in nurseries to avoid cases like this baby sedation or as others of abuse that we have told other times?
