Science Week 2011: an opportunity to bring children closer to science

Between November 7 and 20 the Science Week 2011, the largest event of social communication of science and technology held in Spain. There is an extensive program of activities, workshops, exhibitions, exhibitions and many interesting things you can do as a family. Definitely, a great opportunity to bring children closer to science and arouse your interest in that wonderful world.

This year, in addition, joins the celebration of the 2011 Science Week the International Year of Chemistry, therefore this year's motto is "Chemistry: solutions for the sustainable world". It must be said that the International Year of Forests is also celebrated in 2011.

Each autonomous community has its own program of activities that can be consulted on the official page of the Science Week or on the official pages of the science week in each province.

For example, the Community of Madrid will offer more than 700 free activities, many of them aimed at children. So if you live or travel to Madrid I recommend you check before the activities for children in the search engine of the official page of the Week of Science in Madrid.

The goal is for children to have fun, and put aside the stigma that science is boring. There are children who from very young are very interested in the world of science and as parents we must motivate them.

Here you have then a good opportunity to bring children closer to science and enjoy a few days a year with her family.
