Little Acorns is a British school with native teachers that incorporates iPads since the age of 12 months

Little acorns is a private nursery school, with a native professional team dedicated to providing a safe, protected and welcoming space for children from 12 months to 6 years old. The goal is to help children develop their self-esteem and foster their inspiration and motivation for the future by practicing languages ​​and technology.

The school incorporates a highly qualified team of native teachers, with years of experience teaching the british curriculum both in schools in England and in Spain. The technological aspect is one of the key aspects and Little Acorns is a pioneer in Spain in the use of iPads since 12 months.

The founder and director, Alice Baker, is British and totally bilingual since childhood, which makes him understand and recognize the value of educating himself in more than one language. And it is that in Little Acorns they know that the practice of language, in reading and writing, ensures that children develop a total command of English.

In school children will learn by focusing on:

  • communication through reading, stories and theater
  • reasoning, arithmetic and geometry with practical applications
  • creativity, through art, workshops, music, movement and dance
  • diverse cultures, races and religions, fostering knowledge, respect and understanding of the world around us
  • the social development of children through play and fun
  • technology, providing the latest technological advances for education, promoting and facilitating the use of IPads since 12 months
  • health, nutrition and the environment, teaching children to take care of themselves and respect nature
  • physical development through exercise and the development of their psychomotor capacity

The school is divided into large classrooms, with good light and ventilation, according to age. They are small groups of one average of fifteen children Y two teachers by classroom, to be able to offer a very personalized attention. There is also a psychomotor gym as well as a garden with playground, sandpit and a small garden.

For all parents to be informed, it is offered to use Facetime, a screen access from which you can see the children working, playing and also allow you to talk to them.

And to increase leisure options, from Little Acorns allow access to a cafe where mothers / fathers can meet and chat while children play. These programs can involve children from other schools between 12 months and 10 years in activities such as intensive English courses, various sports, dancing, theater, visits to museums and excursions, nature walks, art and workshops, cooking and science classes, etc.
