To know the map of women in figures you can visit mujerymapas.com

Mujerymapas.com is an initiative of Esri Spain, a company specialized in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the woman's map in figures, which shows on a map and with data the situation of women in Spain and Europe in terms of employment, gender violence, labor conciliation, access to the University or representation in high public offices. In addition, it offers temporary information that allows the user to see its evolution over recent years.

The map that illustrates the image refers to Conciliation, the map of motherhood in the European Union, in which you can see for each country the number of children per woman in the EU with data from 2009. What has surprised me most are the sections used, the highest does not reach three children, in all of Europe !

For the elaboration of the map of women public data from the Women's Institute, National Statistics Institute, Eurostat, European Union, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports and General Council of the Judiciary.

Apparently Esri will update the existing information in mujerymapas.com and will add content of interest to users with the aim of offering a platform for quick access to all information regarding women and whose visualization allows a better understanding of the current and future landscape.

On the website you can access the Conciliation maps, which reflects the relationship of the number of children per woman and maternity benefits, Politics in Spain and Europe, where salary differences between men and women are perceived. There is also Gender Violence in Spain and Europe that offers maps and graphs with data on sex violence crimes. Education in Spain and Europe, which indicates the presence of university women and Employment in Spain and Europe where wage differences between men and women are reflected.

The maps and the graphic representation of the information is well achieved, although I warn that for some maps it is necessary to install additional software, the data chosen is very interesting and that the update is assured encourages us to see how these data evolve.
