Chiquitube is a audiovisual platform for children from 0 to 5 years old which allows them to access content extracted from the Internet appropriate to their age. All videos come from the official channels of series and children's characters published on YouTube. Chiquitube is in beta and it contains eleven video channels dedicated to Pocoyo, Baby Einstein, Cantajuegos and many more characters and popular themes among children. In the middle of Christmas campaign 2012 they have also included a special section to see Christmas carols. There is also an area for parents and there will be an area for teachers in which teachers are thought to generate their own thematic channels.
Chiquitube is a valid option to solve the need for children to surf the Internet without just supervising the contents, especially on YouTube where the related video options are not always the most suitable for children. So with this site It is intended that children navigate wherever they want and from the device they want. Chiquitube has been on the Internet for less than a year and has many visits and especially records of parents who want to offer a safe leisure option to their children.
The content selection It depends on a group of professional specialists and collaborators. They are a special education teacher, a couple of psychologists and a father. Together they decide that what content is most appropriate for a minor.
