'It's just the beginning', beautiful documentary about children and the philosophy of life

French cinema is one of the most questioned the education of children. And so it does also through 'It's just the beginning', a beautiful documentary about children and the philosophy of life.

The camera sneaks into philosophy classes for four-year-olds, in which, sitting in a circle around a lit candle and with the help of their teacher Pascaline, they reflect on important issues such as love, death, freedom, intelligence, differences, wealth, friends ...

"All children are philosophers, although few continue to be." is the phrase of Michel Onfray that inspired the filmmaker Cilvi Aupin following the track of some books for titled children "The little philosophers" to enter the workshops of children's philosophy.

Children express themselves with their own words, with spontaneity and humor, respecting and exercising tolerance from an early age, getting to know each other better and learning from each other.

The documentary film (what you can see in the video is the trailer) was directed in 2010 by Pierre Barougier and Jean-Pierre Pozzi, and has been released a few months ago in our country. I recommend it if you can see it because it helps to reflect on how necessary it is an education that teaches children to think.
