Soup is a good alternative for winter dinners

Although we are in the 'supposedly' colder months of the year, temperatures are not very low, especially where I live. But yes, as we anticipated in this post dedicated to autumn food, the dishes we cook and serve have adapted to nutritional needs when the weather changes.

Spoon dishes triumph in winter: rice, legumes, stews and soups. We wanted to talk to you today precisely about soups, which become the ideal dinner at nightfall. According to the Spanish Heart Foundation, this meal concentrates its nutritional interest in its water and mineral content, becoming an aid to cover the contribution of the latter. They are also very easy to drink.

It is true that its nutritional value is reduced because the amounts of macronutrients (proteins, lipids, carbohydrates) are small. But a good broth helps us feel better, and also, turned into soup is healthy and quite complete (especially if we accompany it with a salad of raw vegetables).

A good broth is not difficult to prepare, we just have to add the ingredients that we want to compose to a casserole with boiling water: chicken, vegetables and potatoes, fish with vegetables, vegetables, and even in some varieties the touch of an apple is very rich. A simmer does the rest, we do not need more than one afternoon (in case of working away from home) since we return to pick up the children.
