Do you fancy a homemade strawberry ice cream?

Our partner Liliana de Directo al Paladar has brought us a creamy strawberry ice cream that is ideal for families with children. Strawberries with a very attractive food for kids, and I think that unless there is a manifest rejection of fruits, our children like them very much.

In Peques y Más we had already shared our strawberry ice cream recipe a while ago, but this one that we present today far exceeds it. It is made with Greek yogurt, and that is why it is very creamy. Also do not deny that it is time to eat ice cream, yes, in moderation so as not to incorporate into our diet an excess of sugars and fats.

Liliana has added Kirsch, although this ingredient is optional, and I'm going to do it with lime, according to a suggestion she gave me, so I avoid giving alcohol to my children

Ingredients

  • 200 g of strawberries, 150 g of natural Greek yogurt, 30 g of sugar, orange zest, 1 teaspoon of Kirsch or another fruity liqueur, a pinch of salt.

How do we do it

The truth is that following the explanations will be very simple, and if we ask for the participation of our children, it may be that the only complication is trying to make the mixture more or less intact to the molds for frosting, because the temptation to put the spoon to try is hard to resist.

Strawberries should be washed and dried, as well as chopped after removing the tail, then left at least half an hour with the sugar, the orange zest (clean) the skin well before grating), the juice and a pinch of salt .

After this time, strawberries will have released the juices, and we can crush them (This step is reserved for adults or large children with direct supervision). At this point, the yogurt is added and removed well, we have the mixture ready, and we can pour it into the molds (those Liliana has used are very suggestive, as you can see).

To the freezer and ... after a waiting period, we can all drive the tooth and enjoy a smooth and creamy strawberry ice cream flavor.

Wouldn't you eat one right now?
