Little readers: to the library with the children

Our environment is full of entertainment proposals for children, although not all are free or educational. If there is a place where children can have fun, learn, and that also does not cost money, that is library.

Going to the library with children is a great idea to have a good time between books. Among books, videos and computers (many libraries today have them, and if we do not have at home it is an opportunity). There children have many stories to choose from, children's books that make them enjoy.

Many libraries allow children to have their own card early, my daughters have it since they were three years old and we try to go to the library at least once a week. Especially in winter, when the weather does not allow us to enjoy the park and the outdoors as much as we would like, we go to the library. But also some summer afternoon when it's the heat that squeezes.

Girls spend time choosing books from the children's section to browse, illustrated books or games (flaps, drop-down ...). And entering that "temple" where there are so many different and new books for children is an exciting experience for them.

There are those who read them in the library, although we prefer to choose one or two stories and read them already at home. The animated videos also accompany us home from time to time (although I recognize that they remain unseen many times).

About keep silent in the library (or rather not making a lot of noise) can be a topic that discourages some parents, but I assure you it is a matter of trying, and they immediately understand that it is a place where you can not speak loudly. It may not work at first, and you may have to leave more than once, but it is a matter of continuing to try.

In addition to all these incentives to visit the library with the children, we must bear in mind that most special storytelling sessions or other activities are organized on Book Day, Children's Day ... You have to check the agenda.

Children enjoy visiting the library and taking their stories. They are small readers who also begin to be responsible for taking care of the books, for taking them back ... And you know, if you read, they read. If you go to the library, let them accompany you.
