Nintendo announces the launch of the Louvre multimedia audioguide for the whole family

The goal is that anyone can discover the extraordinary collection of the Louvre Museum from the palm of your hand using the Nintendo console.

Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre it presents innovative ways to enjoy the many attractions that the Louvre Museum exhibits thanks to the use of the 3D function without glasses of the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo 3DS XL. The program includes more than 600 photographs of the works of art, more than 30 hours of audio commentary and more than 400 photographs of the museum's rooms, including 3D panoramic photographs of the galleries.

Among the 600 images of works of art, there are 150 high-resolution 2D photographs that allow you to observe the smallest details of the works of art, as well as high-resolution 3D images and 3D models of certain sculptures, which allow you to examine them from any angle, for example, from a zenith or posterior perspective.

In addition to audio-commentary, designed by museum curators and art historians, the program includes a series of video comments on specific works and artists, various fields within the world of art, the history of the Louvre, etc.

In addition, for all those who want to approach the Louvre Museum, with this program you can prepare the visit before leaving on a trip. And once you are physically inside the museum, just activate the wireless connection of your Nintendo 3DS to access the interior mode, which uses the location detection function to recognize which museum room you are in. This mode also offers a complete interactive map, which gives details of the exhibits available in the museum room where you are.

The Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre is available for download on Nintendo eShop by 19.99 euros. In addition, users who visit the Louvre Museum can get a cartridge version of the software, acquiring it in the museum's souvenir shops, where the physical version of the software will be available exclusively.
