Shared art: the girl who finishes her mother's drawings

Mica Angela Hendricks is an illustrator and mother, and as often happens with children who live with parents' hobbies every day, her little 4-year-old Myla has inherited the passion for drawing and painting.

They share everything, and also the art they perform. The first work came about by chance, when the mother had sketched a head and the girl suggested finishing the drawing. They liked the result so much that it became a series of collaborative drawings between mother and daughter.

Mica usually draws faces in black and white in the style of old films and the girl ends up giving them a completely different overturn. What might seem like a glamorous actress of the 40s ends up being a female fish, dinosaur or butterfly.

The experience serves both to share very special moments united by the love of artBut, above all, it has served the mother to realize that breaking structures and releasing control over the children can result in something wonderful.
