Where and how can a child be burned? (video)

In barbecues, in the kitchen, next to the stove or fireplace ... There are many potentially dangerous places for children, where they can suffer burns. But there are many other risk situations. This video shows us the importance of preventing burns in children and the multiple situations in which they can occur.

Children who should not be left unattended, because in an oversight their curiosity can make them approach the fire or the source of heat and burn. Fireworks (in combination with a lighter or matches), motorcycle exhaust pipes or sunburn are other risks to which parents must be prevented and protect our children.

This is a video of the Burned Child Aid Corporation (COANIQUEM), a Chilean non-profit foundation whose purpose is to serve children who have suffered from burns.

Among its achievements is to promote, together with other political actors, the Chilean law that prohibited the sale of fireworks to the public, reserving them only to mass shows that are safe and secure. It has also created specialized centers in burn treatment, rehabilitation and care for victims in Chile.

This video shows us the diversity of situations and ways in which a child can burn (And they are not all!). I was struck that in summer and on vacation the theme of barbecues, sunburn and fireworks (with so much popular festival) acquire a special relevance. We will be more outstanding than ever!
