He already did it when his first daughter, Max, was born. Although anyone would think that because of his position he could not disconnect from work, Mark Zuckerberg took two months of paternity leave to enjoy his baby's first months.

The CEO of Facebook sets an example againsince he plans to take two months of paternity leave again when his second daughter is born, which is already on its way. Becoming a father has made him change his perspective and want a better world for his daughters. He is a faithful advocate of vaccination and considers it very important for parents to spend time with their children, even when you have a very demanding job and could pay anyone to take care of them. The important thing is that the father is there supporting the mother and knowing the baby.

When Max was born, I took two months of paternity leave. I will always be grateful to have been able to spend so much time with her in the first months of her life.

Our new daughter is coming soon, and I am planning to take two months of paternity leave again. This time, I will take advantage of the Facebook option to take part license. I will take a month to be with Priscilla and the girls at the beginning, and then we will spend the entire month of December together as well. I want to be with our new baby and take Max to live adventures.

On Facebook, we offer four months of maternity and paternity leave because studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, it is good for the whole family. And I'm pretty sure the office will still stand when I return.

Four months of permission on Facebook

Recall that in the United States, 86 percent of workers in the United States do not have a maternity or paid paternity leave. Only four states have this policy and the rest depends on the companies where they work.

Hence, large companies such as Netflix, Google, Microsoft, Virgin, Spotify and Facebook have decided to take action on the matter and extend the permits to their employees. The social network has increased it to four months, and they can take it in parts.

In Spain, on the other hand, the paternity leave was extended to one month from 2017, while Brussels tries to allow fathers and mothers to have a four-month birth loss, such as the one given by Facebook to its employees.
