Give up stress, recover fertility

There are women who because of stress they have stopped ovulating, but if they manage to relax, although it is not easy, they could recover fertility. Cognitive behavioral therapy has also been favorable in patients with depression, so the study conducted and presented by the professor at Emory University in Atlanta (USA), can give couples who want to conceive a child and not They achieve a light of hope.

The infertility that causes stress can be given in both men and women, but according to Professor Sarah Berga, this problem can be solved.

The American study was conducted in 16 women between the ages of 20 and 35, all of them diagnosed with a disorder called functional hypothalamic amenorrhea, caused by a prolonged reduction in the levels of hormones that stimulate ovulation, in addition to having high levels of the stress hormone, in particular cortisol Half of the women studied received a cognitive behavioral therapy treatment for 20 weeks that included nutritional counseling, exercise and other activities that reduce stress, while the other half received no treatment.

The great news is that 6 of the 8 women treated began to ovulate again and two of them managed to get pregnant just two months after finishing the study.

This study has yet to be further developed, but it seems that it has been shown that there are healthier and cheaper treatments than medications to give back to many couples the possibility of being parents.
