Chinese babies with their asses in the air

Literally. This is how some children under four are in China, with pants with a hole in the back that exposes the baby's ass.

When reading in Gadling, a travel blog, the note of a Canadian in Beijing about this curious clothing for babies I was amazed, like this traveler who says that it is a very common and quite unhygienic image as children make their needs where he catches them.

Of course, the child wants at the least thought, in a bus, taking a walk in the street, in the subway ... he says he does not remember ever sitting in a park, just in case.

I honestly find this custom very curious and quite ridiculous. I do not fully understand the functionality of the garment.

If what is intended is to save on diapers, train the baby to control sphincters, or if it is simply a more natural (and disgusting) way of coping with this physiological issue.

The Canadian also tells the first time he saw a two-year-old baby pee in the subway in public and how the mother very naturally took a towel from her bag and cleaned the puddle. I don't even want to think when the baby does "the second."

I wonder what happens when the child does not know how to warn and pees or poops on sitting in the car, on the mother's skirts or walking in his stroller.

The assholes sticking out of the pants look very funny, but even as a mother (without pretending to offend) I do not see anything practical to this unusual garment.
