The Chinese government seeks to promote the policy of the only child but in a softer tone

China is the most populous nation in the world and since 1979 the Chinese government seeking to curb population growth, has a policy that only allows a child to have the majority of parents and in rural areas up to two if the first child it's a girl. Large fines are imposed on those who violate this law.

This has resulted in many abuses, there are reports of abortions and forced sterilizations, as well as many abandoned babies, especially girls.

Apparently the government seeks to insist on the measure, but to promote it by softening the tone of the posters and advertising in relation to it. Well, although it seems incredible today in some areas, especially in rural areas, phrases like "Raise fewer children and more pigs" are used.

This, in the opinion of the Chinese authorities, is one of the reasons that undermines the image of the government and has discredited the politics of the only child. Instead of the hard and bad-tasting phrases, a commission has chosen 190 expressions that will supplant the existing ones, one of which they set an example in the news is "Mother Earth is exhausted from supporting so many children."
