Another year the solidarity campaign "A toy, an illusion"

It is a shame that these dates close to Christmas have to arrive to remember that there are many children in the world who will not receive a toy from Santa Claus or the Magi.

Most of us become aware of the issue only when an NGO advertises some solidarity Campaign How is it "A Toy, An Illusion", organized by Radio Nacional de España and the Crecer Jugando Foundation, of which Infanta Elena is honorary president.

Just as last year was the solidary spinning top, this year the means to raise funds is the solidarity pen, since with the money from its sales toys are made to take children from developing countries.

It is important to know where the toys arrive and how the system is, since many distrust. There are 15 countries, in America, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Haiti and Peru to which many Africans like Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Benim, Guinea Bissau, Western Sahara, Malawi and Morocco also join, and the Lebanon in the Middle East.

Two types of toys are manufactured: on the one hand, dolls, trucks and balls that children can take home and on the other, games that will go to the toy libraries or schools designed to encourage shared play.

Every year the figures of the previous year are exceeded, so taking advantage of the time of the year in which we are most moved (although it should not be only during these dates) it is important that you know that every grain of sand that is contributed is welcome by this type of organizations.

Everything adds up and it's worth it when the result is a child's smile when they receive a ball, maybe the first of their life, while on this side of the world children receive a huge amount of gifts.
