They remove from the market two toys that could block the digestive system

Again, these are products made in China, but this time they are not removed because they contain lead paint but because of the danger they are supposed to be ingested.

The two toys that the National Institute of Consumption has ordered to withdraw of the stores of all the autonomous communities are Bindeez from Moose Enterprise and Water dot Spin Master, which in Spain are distributed among others by Toys'r'us, Hasbro and Giochi Preziosi.

Both toys consist of small balls that join the contact with water to create shapes, and that if swallowed by the child they can cause a blockage of the digestive system as reported by the United States Consumer Products Safety Commission, although there is also suspicion of possible toxic effects that the National Institute of Toxicology is investigating.

The manufacturer Bindeez defends himself in a statement arguing that the product is safe and specifies that it should not be used by children under 4 years.

In Spain there have been no cases, but in Australia two children have been placed in a coma with sudden epileptic seizures and there it has been confirmed that the pellets contain a chemical related to GHB, the forbidden rapeseed drug that can leave the person unconscious until it causes death by suffocation.

I no longer know if the mass withdrawal of toys made in China is some kind of political move or what, but as a mother I am seriously worried that the toys that parents take so quietly from the shelves can become deadly.
