Telebasura, every day more present and children are more unprotected

On several occasions we have talked about the schedule of child television protection, it is something necessary and recognized by law, however, television networks continue to skip the rules, it seems that it is inevitable. Who is responsible for verifying content? Do they believe that the fact that it is a series of drawings that is issued does not contain any danger to children?

Through the newspaper El País we know a story that again highlights the precariousness of the rules on child protection hours and how telebasura walks in disguise. Apparently, last Friday it was aired at 2:00 p.m. on the television channel La Sexta, a new episode of the cartoon series Father of Family. Phrases such as "Women have to be given cane" or "I want you to know that I think of you when I do it with my wife", they say with impunity without taking into account that the broadcast is taking place within the protection strip Afterwards, parents can be amazed by what the children say and knowing or believing that they have not learned it at home, we can blame the school, the companies or the street, but the truth is that in many cases the bad behaviors , bad words or bad behaviors can be developed at home and one of the channels for this is television.

We have repeatedly denounced the great lack of children's programs that exist in Spanish television networks, all kinds of programs that are not recommended for our children continue to be broadcast with ease, their inappropriate contents are often retained in the minds of children . Neither self-regulation code, nor initiatives that ensure a good education, nor sanctions, nothing seems to stop this behavior.

Funny, no children's programs are made but if ads for children in excessive quantities, they use children to increase consumption, they do not provide children, educational programs, etc., because it is not profitable. The situation is more serious than it seems, television networks do not mind paying the fines that are imposed on them because even then, it is very profitable to broadcast certain programs within the child protection schedule.

More drastic measures should be taken, instead of fines, temporary chain closure, forcing children to provide by law, etc. All children watch television, there are millions who need this special protection, when will effective decisions be made?
