Not all children have the same educational needs, certain disorders and disabilities can reduce their educational development. That is why from now on, the Ministry of Education of Asturias has announced that All those children who present this type of problems may extend the educational stage for another year, so that they will finish the second cycle of children at 7 years instead of 6 years, as usual.
This extension will allow all children in general to receive the necessary education and achieve the objectives set in the educational plan of this cycle. For the extension of one year in the children's cycle, it will be necessary to have some of the problems that we have mentioned before and in a certified manner. The children will be able to receive all the necessary attention in the same class, this news puts part of solution to the problem of which we speak in the post Children with disabilities in the public schools, lack of means to allow a total integration. In the proposed line of work, the aim is to develop and emphasize numerical teaching, reading, learning a language, keeping in mind the pedagogical systems always combined with the various activities, songs, games, etc. Children can spend up to eight hours at school and the schedules will be more flexible adapting to them.
In short, all those improvements in education and especially in the education of children with disabilities or certain disorders, are always well received by parents.
