Mediterranean Diet Foundation dedicated to children

The Mediterranean Diet Foundation (FDM) is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to safeguard the common cultural heritage to the populations of the Mediterranean basin. In the Mediterranean culture, as we know, the philosophy of life and food and culinary customs, with its contribution to the prevention of numerous diseases.

We know the importance of good eating habits from very young To enjoy a healthier life. For this reason, children also have space on the Foundation's website, with a section for games for children where they can pick up fruits from the trees by moving the mouse or reconstruct salad recipes (this one is a little difficult for children to my opinion).

We are also informed that the Foundation, together with Argis Congress, develops children's workshops of Mediterranean cuisine imparted to primary school children in schools throughout Spain and which we already realized here. These workshops seek, among other objectives, an active participation of children in preparing Mediterranean recipes, which implies greater acceptance of them.

Remember that there are some tricks for the little ones to acquire good eating habits, as we have seen several times. That they prepare simple recipes, that they manipulate food, that they experience, are acts that we can easily do at home. Not forgetting the importance of family eating.

By the way, that the Mediterranean Diet Foundation website is preparing a recipes section for children. We hope to check those flavors later ...
