Violence and sex in children's hours

How many times while I am watching TV, I have come across phrases, scenes, and even cartoons very inappropriate for minors to see.

Since two years ago the main television networks agreed Self Regulation Code, in which it was intended to protect children from inappropriate content on televisions, and a schedule was established in which the different networks committed themselves not to broadcast violent scenes, obscene, swear words, etc., the televisions have only obviated this pact and have continued with the same telebasura policy and during hours of maximum children's hearing. This problem does not exist only in reality or heart programs - which remain the main source of violence - many children's drawings and programs that violate these agreements are also issued. Nor should we forget about sexist ads or with little appropriate scenes, apart from the advertising spaces dedicated to "banned" products for children such as goodies and pastries.

There have been many complaints from viewers against the different networks and many studies that have shown that this is a fact and not a mere assumption. The last one focuses on the Valencian Autonomous Community and reaches the same conclusions.

Only one of the eight television networks analyzed by the Valencian Association of Consumers and Users (Avacu) and the Department of Education offers children's programming at the agreed time. The only one that meets is the second regional channel, Punt 2.

The study not only criticizes televisions, but also suggests that parents have their share of guilt, since they ignore the content that children see and are allowed to watch anything. In addition, one in three Valencian children has a TV in their room, which makes it more difficult to regulate what they see.
