Being a Dad: They'll know you by your shoulders

Living with a baby is something that, as I said a few days ago, will change our lives.

People in our environment often know that you are a recent father and will often ask you "how did you sleep today" or "how is everything with the child".

Often the questions will have an answer just looking at your face: Pale complexion, dark circles, moments of absence, a moderate decrease in production (whatever you do, you will slow down), etc.

As your baby grows it is possible that the organization at home has improved and that your child sleeps a little more or wakes up a little less (or not). Maybe at that time you can hide a little the accumulated fatigue.

However there are times when it shows equally thanks to the clothes you wear (and their stains). I have often seen myself in this situation and I have seen many parents with the same spots as me. The days I work in the afternoon and therefore I have been with Jon in the morning, and almost any moment of the day that has been a little while in my arms, I have finished with the stained shirts in the shoulder area.

Milk, mucus, saliva, puree, fruit, cheese, cookie crumbs, saliva with biscuit, yogurt ... the list of things that can end up on the shoulders of your clothes is endless.

I know you think the picture is from when Jon was a baby. Nothing is further from reality. It's 4 or 5 days ago and remember that Jon is over 2 and a half years old.

I did it before going to work and Myriam told me: - But man, you can take them off with wipes (it had spots on both shoulders). - Bah, it's the same - I replied hurriedly.

I really don't mind wearing my son's spots. Moreover, not only I don't care, but deep down I didn't want to take them off. They are my dad medals.

Normally nobody tells me anything about it, which I understand because people do not usually point to the stains of others, but if one day they tell me something I will say very loud: "Ah, yes, my son has stained me by taking him in his arms and resting his head on my shoulder."
