Encourage reading through decoration

That children become interested in books since they are young is something very positive that we should encourage. To do this, as important as setting an example is creating a small library in your room, in your play space and even in a corner of the family library.

In Decoesfera we suggest some ways of encourage children to read through decoration. That is, make them attractive the storage space for books and reading so that they have their own reading corner.

To start it has to be a comfortable place, both for the tranquility that is required to concentrate on reading and from the ergonomic point of view. It is your reading corner can not miss a comfortable chair, preferably tailored, or it can be replaced by a pouf, and must be located in a place without noise, isolated from distractions and with natural light.

In turn, the distribution of books in the library should be attractive to children. Surely if the books are piled up and with the broken sheets do not get your attention, however if they are placed in order so that the covers are seen, it will be better for the books to attract them and keep the interest in reading alive.

As well as the visibility of books, order is also important. We can help them to order them from the most favorite to the least, from the most at least long or according to topics so they can find them more easily.

As much as we have little place in the children's room, the library is a space that should not be missing. Just like toys, books have to take up a part of their time, so if we create an attractive space we will help motivate them with a taste for reading.
