Pablito and Virginia: cartoons about sex education for children

I have found a series of ideal videos to teach children or watch parents and take note of when they start asking the first questions about the differences between boys and girls. Pablito and Virginia are cartoons about sex education for children.

There are seven videos of approximately three minutes on sexuality and reproduction explained directly, without lies and in a way that children can understand, which is how I think you should talk about sexuality with children.

The first video entitled "That little thing" talks about the difference between boys and girls and the following ones go deeper into other more complex topics such as how children are made, fertilization, making love, pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding , in that order.

The cartoons are quite elementary, but I liked the way and the words used to explain some questions that parents often don't know how to do.

I leave the seven chapters for you to show them to your children when you consider. Of course, it is dad and mom who have to answer their concerns to the children, but this type of material helps reinforce the concepts. Being cartoons where the protagonists are two children, the children feel identified and relate what we have explained to them with the images.

Around the age of five or six, children begin to feel interested in all these issues. For now, I will start with "That little thing" and the chapters on pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding that have it very fresh for her little sister. The others, about sex and fertilization, I will leave for later.

I leave you with the videos of Pablito and Virginia on sex education for children.
