We have seen on other occasions ideas like the one I present today: commercial food products based on breast milk. Today I tell you that Ingaleterra has gone on sale Baby Gaga, an ice cream made with women's milk.
The idea, of a mother very aware of the benefits of breast milk, has been welcomed by an ice cream company, which prepares it by mixing it with vanilla and lemon, to sell it as a refreshing product.
There are already 15 women who have proposed to donate their milk, which is paid at about 50 euros a liter and sold in ice cream at about 15 euros per serving.
Entrepreneurs say that there are those who feel disgusted when they think that the product is made with women's milk, but, well thought out, if the hygienic and sanitary conditions of the product are guaranteed, it is no different from those we drink made with animal milk. I, however, although I made ice cream with milk that I had saved my son, I don't think I ever bought the facts with someone else's milk.
Once the health of the product is guaranteed, really, there would be no problems in consuming it and the rejection that we can feel has much more to do with cultural conditioning than with reality.
However, and although surely this does not happen from the anecdote, there is always the question of whether it is ethical to trade with parts of the human body or with its products, be they organs, blood or milk, although we are not astonished when we talk about selling hair or even, as it is legal in other countries, for a woman to lend her body to gestate the child of others in exchange for remuneration.
