One of the latest developments that can be found in childcare and that is announced as a great revolution to dress children is the baby clothes with magnetic closure, a concept that in some aspect does not just convince.
If we see it from practicality it is a good alternative to buckle the eternal row of automatic brooches that have some baby clothes, especially for more restless children who move like octopuses.
However, the idea that the baby is in contact with a magnetized surface does not quite convince me.
The brand that manufactures it, Magnificent baby, argues that it is safe. According to a study published by the WHO, there are no adverse health effects to the exposure of low intensity magnetic fields, they say. They compare it to the fridge magnets, or to the seatbelts, but a garment is something that is in too much time in contact with the baby.
It is a good solution to put on and take off garments quickly and easily, and making the closure perfect without skipping any buttons. Anyway, forms does not mean that the baby can take them off.
At the moment they are present in five countries (United States, Canada, Dominican Republic and Japan), but it is likely that we will soon find it in Spain.
