Some years before Steven Spielberg took to the big screen "Jurassic Park" and we were invaded by dinosaur fever, he had already been introduced into that world acting as an executive producer of an animated film that surely many of you will remember with much sweetie.
I am referring to one of the best children's films: "In search of the Enchanted Valley", where a group of small dinosaurs totally different from each other must overcome together many obstacles to meet their family and friends.
"In search of the Enchanted Valley" (The Land Before Time) is a film that has very important names from the cinema world behind it. It was directed in 1988 by Don Bluth, who has also directed other children's films such as "Fivel and the New World", "In Search of the Sun King" or "Anastacia"; Its executive producers are Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, and his soundtrack is provided by James Horner, responsible for the music of films such as "Titanic", "Troy" or, more recently, "Avatar".

In this adventure we will move several million years ago, when man still did not exist and dinosaurs dominated the Earth. However, the forces of nature were relentless and there are several earthquakes, fires and floods that leave Piecito, the protagonist apatosaurus of the story, alone.
He, along with his new friends: the Wax triceratops, the Petrie pteranodon, the Púas stegosaurus and the Duckling saurolophus should go in search of the legendary Great valley to meet the rest of the members of the pack. But it will not be easy for them, since along the way they will have to face several dangers, among which is the fearsome predator T-Rex.

Together with Piecito and his friends, we embark on an adventure where everyone brings their grain of sand to the group, contributing something that only they know how to do but that together make them achieve a great job and overcome all obstacles that may arise.
"In search of the Enchanted Valley" is a good adventure film that leaves a good taste during your viewing. The presentation of the young gang members, as well as the rest of the characters that will be found during their search will make the little ones feel as if they were also trying to find the Great Valley.

There are several values that we find in this movie, being the subject of friendship the most outstanding of all, since it makes us see that we can always count on our friends for those things that are really important to us or when we are alone.
The perseverance It is also something that is present throughout the adventure, because although finding the Great Valley will not be easy, and they may even think that it does not exist, Piecito does not cease in his efforts to find it and start a new life in a place where your new friends can meet their families again.
Finally, the issue of coexistence because, as I said before, each of the little dinosaurs that are members of the gang has its character and way of being. It is very important to know that each one is different from the rest, and that each one should be respected, since we may not always agree when making a decision.

The theme of dinosaurs always attracts the attention of younger children. Possibly because of its dragon appearance that makes children arouse their imagination. Movies like "In search of the Enchanted Valley" arouse the curiosity of children for these beings although sometimes they convey ideas that move away from reality. Therefore, both its history and the duration of the film make it recommended for children from three years of age.
As a result of the success of the film at the time, a homonymous series of dinosaur animation films took place with thirteen direct sequels to video (where it would no longer count on the collaboration of the director, Don Bluth, or the presence of Spielberg or Lucas) and a television series appeared after the thirteenth and final sequel of the saga.
