Songs to transmit pedagogical values with catchy rhythms in 'Sing me a story'

Natalia and Filip

Natalia Spialter is the mother of two six and four year old girls, she has also launched a project whose first phase is the CD "Sing me a story", along with Filip Tee (friend and excellent musician) who accompanies her with the guitar. With letters written by Nat herself (on her way to work), she intends to transmit pedagogical messages and highlight forgotten values.

"Sing me a story" is made up of 10 songs among which are "Friend", "The Farm", "My Neighbor or" the Dragon ". All explain pleasant and easily understandable stories by children, and are accompanied by catchy rhythms and varied melodies.

We are in a time when creative initiatives are needed to help us interact with each other, and of course music is present in our lives. But it is not easy to get it right when the audience is children: the children really need close and innovative expressions at the same time, and in this sense it seems to me that Nat and Filip have been right.

Do you want to know what was the origin of "Sing me a story"?, because everything was born from Natalia's reflections on the creation of easy interpretation tools to transmit knowledge and values to her girls, 'that will help them grow as independent, brave, supportive and happy people'. For her, songs and stories are the best way to communicate by educating, in a simple, clear and fun way.

Natalia told us that 'Sing me a story introduces children to a magical world, full of fantasy and imagination, with close and funny lyrics, which transmit pedagogical messages and help prepare children to interact in today's society. Through songs I intend to rescue forgotten values, promote emotional development, tolerance, diversity, integration, friendship, respect and family, also encouraging habits of hygiene, food, coexistence and behavior '

The project does not end with the edition of the CD, because now the second phase has already begun: signing in Spanish (LSE) part of the vocabulary of each song. In these songs Nat acts with a choreography, with the intention that the little ones are introduced and getting used to nonverbal communication. It is intended to eliminate communication barriers, that children are more tolerant, and lose their fear of someone a little different from them. It's about integrating and communicating.

The third phase will consist of stories and interactive workshops on environmental education and awareness that already exist and are set up.

It seems that the response is very positive, mainly from teachers, educators and the children themselves. However, the small big problem is financing, since everything, absolutely everything in this project is original and self-published. The distribution is limited and the CD is for sale in the Abacus chain, and bookstores in Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Zaragoza, on the Internet can also be purchased through Amazon.

I would like to congratulate Natalia and Filip from here, wishing that their effort and dedication continue to bear fruit.
