Benetton launches the "Safe dress" campaign

The clothes of babies and children are not exempt from control and regulations regarding safety, however, as in the case of toys, it is always possible to find some products on the market that are not safe. The Benetton Group has launched the "Safe Dressing" project, aimed at informing consumers about the safety of children's clothing.

It focuses on the presence of potentially dangerous components, especially for the little ones. The project was developed following the adoption of the Eco Safe seal in the Group's clothing lines for children, granted by one of the most prestigious bodies for the certification of quality and safety of consumer goods.

The objective is to consolidate the relationship with the consumer through the transparent information about product safety. Therefore, from the collections of the next season the children's clothing lines of the group will carry a special Eco Safe label.

Before arriving at the stores, and throughout their production process, from the concept phase to the finished product, the garments will have been supervised by a technical committee of security experts.

We hope that the project incorporates all the information in Spanish, since at the moment the web is available only in English and Italian.

It is on the website safety.benetton.com where it is explained in detail the Dress Up Safe project and the Eco Safe seal, talking about topics such as heavy metals, small pieces, dyes ... in children's clothing. A good idea to incorporate more comprehensive controls, we would like them for all brands, something that today seems unattainable.
