A children's novel with adventures, emotion, inventions, and Gus as the protagonist: for children from 10 years.

Gus is a 12 year old boy who has a family and goes to school, so far everything is normal. But when the lid of 'opensGus and the flying house ' , the reader discovers that the only situation that is repeated (unfortunately) in other contexts, is the fact that in school there is an abuser (Oscar) who has taken it with Gus.

And in this children's novel written by Carmen García - Romeu, illustrated by Valentí Ponsa, and edited by Narval, surprises are not lacking, shocks, time travel and impossible inventions. Who is the inventor? Well, Uncle Lorenzo, who is one of the many relatives who live in a house that is fortunately quite large. We might think that among so many uncles, some grandparents, their parents, and even a couple of great-grandparents, Gustavo should have a great time, but in reality he would like to have some more cousin, because Clarita is ten years old, although He is a bit of a bad guy, and Carlos, who is fourteen, is boring for being a smartie.

But does the house fly or not? Well, I would really like you to read this book with your youngest children, or to buy it for children over ten years old, especially if they like history, travel and fiction

What I can tell you is that in a family where the great-grandfather plays the house in a game of petanque, and where there is an uncle who invents the intrepid spoon or a refrigerator, nothing can surprise. And if one of the aunts communicates through the Wi-Fi system with Cervantes or Shakespeare to be given the works she writes, it seems that the fun is served.

And although Gus would like to help with inventions, because 'the technology knows a lot', his uncle puts him as a condition to pass an exam. The rest takes place between nanometric circuits, a trip to the place from where 'the invincible Navy', farm hens for dinner and a visit to a family of Neanderthals.

Luckily this family of 24 people it also has its normal moments, although sometimes Gus wants to escape from her, especially when Oscar challenges him to a duel when he learns that Marichelo has gone to take his homework to his great house.

If you read it, you can discover a well-kept secret until (almost) the end, will everyone go to the inventors' contest? But hadn't it all started with a wing chair that wanted to emulate the birds?

A novel full of amazing episodes, related with a language very suitable for children, and in which the presence of technology as a center of interest for children is quite clear. A good read for the summer.
