Recently I was with my daughters watching a children's theater show entitled "The girl of the sea", an excellent opportunity to know the dangers that the sea suffers because of people, and that we have remembered today at home. As you can see, there are many ways to do it.
Recall that the UN General Assembly decided that from 2009 on June 8 to celebrate World Oceans Day. The theme of this year's commemoration is "Together we have the power to protect the ocean".
We hope that in some way World Oceans Day will serve to create global awareness of the challenges facing the international community in relation to the oceans. And, as the Secretary General's message says, the trend of degradation and pollution to which we submit to the oceans is reversed.
