In the Toy Valley (Alicante) is the Doll Museum

If you want to take a tour with your children through the past and present of the dolls you can not miss in Onil (Alicante), in the Toy Valley, the Doll Museum. There we expect more than 1200 dolls dating from the 18th century to the present day.

Sometimes we have approached what is known as "Toy Valley" in Alicante, since there, headquarters of most of the toy industry in Spain, there are many attractions for family visits. We have talked about the Toy Hotel, the Museum of biodiversity and today this Museum dedicated to dolls that will delight children and adults.

In the town of Onil, next to Ibi, the Doll Museum presents some of the most loved dolls for girls (and their mothers and grandmothers), from Mariquita Pérez to the gluttonous baby, through the clicks of Playmobil, Las Barriguitas, Nancy ...

In the Museum they organize organized visits, and on Saturday afternoons two living dolls are the ones that give the children a surprise to teach them the Museum themselves, talk to them about how the dolls were made in the past, teach them models of yesteryear, curiosities ... I recommend is theatrical visit, because the little ones love it.

Another attraction that impresses children is the room of the Magi, there you can see the luxurious beds of His Majesties Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar, which are supposed to rest here before leaving loaded with toys to distribute to all children.

On the top floor of the Museum are the worlds of Playmobil, which reproduce different scenarios with great detail and with these little dolls populating them. They won't get tired of seeing every corner of these scenarios, the pity is that they can't touch them and invent their moving stories!

Parents and especially moms look at the old photos, in the manufacturing process, in the dolls of our childhood, the Nancys and Barriguitas with all their accessories, thus moving to other times with nostalgia.

But we also see the new dolls, which are the ones that now accompany our children, and they will surely love them all! That is the "inconvenience" of this visit, that the list for the Magi is going to increase vertiginously ... A shop when leaving the Museum allows "orders" to parents who wish.

The Doll Museum in Onil, in the Toy Valley, open Monday through Friday and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. You will remember this tour of a dream factory for a long time!
