A good idea: turn a bookcase into a dollhouse

It has been seeing her and not being able to resist sharing her with you, nor can your little ones resist playing with her. A good idea that I bring you today to start the week you will love it if you enjoy giving it a "little expected" use of traditional furniture.

I propose you turn a bookshelf into a dollhouse. Its six compartments are transformed by magic in the rooms of a fun little house to play dolls. And much larger, original and durable than we can buy in a toy store.

How to do? It is very simple. If the bookshelf does not have a backside, this is the first thing you will have to do. You need cardboard to make the background walls, which you can cover with different papers to give a distinctive decorative touch to each environment.

You have to decide with the kids what will be the living room, the kitchen, the bathroom and the rooms and decorate each one to your liking. The second part of the project is even more fun, because you will have to create furniture to equip the dollhouse.

With a little imagination you can create tables, chairs, beds, lamps, carpets, curtains, pictures, cabinets and even appliances. You can use all kinds of materials, from wool, cardboard, cloth, plasticine, paper or whatever you can think of. Anything goes!

And finally, if you dare (total, then painted on top) leave your little drawing on the wall the roof of the house and add some paper clouds. It is beautiful! I encourage you to turn a bookshelf into a dollhouse. It is a beautiful project to do with your children, and much more fun and economical than buying it.
