Fisher Price hammock with support for your Ipad

If there is a device that has made a place at home are the tablets, we will not deny it, there are fewer and fewer homes that do not have one, there will even be a few where there will be more than one. One of the advantages that has made these objects a member of the family, accompanying us wherever we go, is their ability to entertain the little ones, and not so small. Few are the ones who can resist playing with it and its simplicity of use has made even babies know how to handle an ipad before a painting.

Fisher Price presents its adaptation, or what at least I think they understand by adaptation, of a hammock with more entertainment, and they have called it Ipad Apptivity Seat or what is the same, Fisher Price hammock with support for your Ipad.

We had talked about the potty with Ipad support, we presented an article on which tablet for children to buy, but now Fisher Price takes a twist with this hammock for babies.

And as expected the associations of parents and pediatricians have shouted in the sky. Let us start from the fact that a baby does not need a tablet at all, thousands of years of development of humanity show this, and there are numerous reports that warn of the dangers of watching television before two years. A baby does not require any of that, what he wants is to interact with his parents and not with a machine.

The only goal is for children to remain calm and quiet while we dedicate ourselves to our things.

It is clear that we have all used some trick, cartoons, lights, music, to make our children calm down for a while while we dedicate ourselves to our tasks or simply to rest a little after a day too moved. There is nothing wrong with that, We are not exclusive caregivers for our children, we have other chores or just another part of our lives that does not revolve around the baby, there are things that we have no choice but to do and if we did not like them before, it is clear that now neither. Finding an object that is capable of absorbing our children during that time we need, is often like finding the door of paradise open.

But that time we left our children "plugged in" It's dangerous if we don't have control of ourselves and of the time we leave them. We may start with a "well, I leave a chapter and so I make the beds and breakfast quiet", then we go to "another one and I'm done picking up", it is tempting, very tempting "if it is happening bomb and I can not sleep, to see if it holds and rest "and so, without realizing it, we arrive at lunchtime and our son has thrown himself stuck in the machine all morning.

Well, for a day nothing happens ... Really, just one day?

Given this perspective and considering that the hammock can be used from the first months a Boston bar association has asked Fisher Price to remove that model. For my part I see something exaggerated, but we already know that these places immediately end up in the halls of justice.

Fisher Price defends himself

He states that in the first months the support for the ipad can be replaced by a mirror and that they have also developed a set of specific applications where babies can learn to fix and follow objects with their eyes, as well as listen to relaxing music while they take a nap .

The problem is that more and more cases of children and babies addicted to this type of objects and video games are reported.

I have to confess that in my case, in which my children did not pay attention to the hammocks but one of the most precious objects at home the tablet, I think the hammock would have been a success from the zero minute. Although, I agree that it is too tempting, and surely in the end with the best of my intentions, my children would end up in front of a screen for too long. Apart from the problem it is to have more than one child per tablet and how little they are to share certain objects.

I am clear that we are advancing to a world of technological immersion, in which our children will see these objects absolutely normal and something of everyday life, just as for us they were the video or the consoles.

What do you think of the Fisher Price hammock with Ipad stand? What will we see next, stroller stands?
