“Tiritas” is a registered trademark that has its own definition in the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy: 'adhesive strip on one side, in whose center it has a sterilized dressing that is placed on small wounds to protect them'.

I will not talk about the uses of the strips, because if you are parents you know what they are for: they cover small wounds, 'cure' the frustration of having fallen, reduce the fear of seeing the skin itself torn ... How well this invention has done that combined with a little disinfectant and The pampering of dad or mom has managed to calm so many children! But what you may not know is that They are anniversary (60 years already), because it was in 1954 when Laboratorios Unitex launched them to the market; They are now marketed by Hartmann (a company that bought Unitex). And they celebrate it with success by selling the 'Doraemon strips' inspired by the blue cosmic cat (will there be any children who do not know it?).

The 'Tiritas' have participated in an exhibition dedicated to everyday objects of revolutionary design (it was at the MoMA in New York in 1996), they have also traveled aboard 'Mercury' into space. And they are even mentioned by a Californian psychology professor (Michael Jospe), who states that the strips have a placebo effect when they present designs with drawings.

And is that if something is characterized by the brand is by have known how to innovate in materials and also in designIn fact, only two years after they first appeared on the market, there were already strips with drawings. We consider them the 'strips' of a lifetime, and surely in most family kits they are present: of many colors, in different ways to cover any wound, and all of them more adherent than a few years ago, and much more resistant , because they have a lot to resist.

There are adhesive strips of other brands, but This year the protagonists with the 'Strips', because they have been relieving children from more than 50 countries for many years. And although we can still choose between 20 varieties of different shapes and designs, we know that during the next months the ones preferred by the kids will be those of Doraemon.
