Have you thought about recording your birth so your child can see it as an adult?

One of the advantages that came with domestic camcorders, apart from considerably lightening their weight, was to immortalize our day to day, especially for us parents. Now we could see when we wanted the first steps of our children, that fantastic day at the beach, that first trip, etc. There were those who went beyond that to record every milestone in the life of the family and got into the delivery room camera in hand.

Today, most of us have smartphones with the ability to make video or photographs and in most cases there is no problem that the father of the child attends the birth and can record a magnificent unrepeatable memory for the future. Have you thought about recording your birth so your child can see it as an adult?

If there is a moment in the life of each one that will never happen again, it is the birth, this is not like a birthday in which yes, you may not be two years old again, but there will be others similar. In the case of childbirth, there will not be another (and I doubt that your mother was for the job).

In my case we could not record in either of them, but I would have liked to have done it, since it could not only have been very interesting to be able to share that experience, even through images, with my children when they were a little older (right now I think that would cause them some kind of trauma) but it would also be interesting if the mother could see the process from outside her body and associate the sensations she had when giving birth with the images of the birth.

Surely there would be many curious situations, even some a bit embarrassing since it has always been a little taboo this whole topic and that curiosity of Mom, how was I born? It can transform into adult life in an awkward situation. How do you think it would be your case?

To illustrate a little more this topic I leave you the video of the mega star of YouTube, Tyler oakley who uploaded a video recording himself and his mother watching the day of their birth together. And it is that Oakley's father, nothing more and nothing less than 24 years ago, he joined his wife in the delivery room to record the whole process. 24 years later, mother and son will share that experience again from a very different point of view than the first time.

The video that already has more than 1.8 million visits, begins from the admission of his mother in the hospital to end with the birth of Tyler 24 years ago, just how old his mother was when the video was recorded. The video is a hoot despite being in English (you can activate the subtitles), just look at the expression on Oakley's face to know how it is happening and I have to recognize it, I'm sure I would put many of those faces, which contrasts with his mother's so excited that it seems that he was living at that time (and that says he has seen the video several times).

How do you think you would react to see the video of your birth, would you like to have seen it? Would you record the video of your son's birth?
