Souvenir kit: a great idea to keep and give your children their baby clothes when they are older

The baby stage in the lives of our children is so short, that many times we keep some (or too many) things that remind us of those days when they were little and wanted to be in our arms all the time.

Starting with baby clothes can be something emotionally difficult for some mothers, and while I was reading some Facebook posts, I found the great idea of a mother to keep her children's baby clothes: create souvenir kits, to deliver them when they are older.

Joanna Gaines is the mother of four children, interior decorator and host of a famous home renovation television program, which a few days ago came to an end in the United States. Recently, she was organizing some spaces in her own house, specifically the attic, where he had boxes full of clothes and shoes from when his children were babies and that he had kept for sentimental reasons.

As it happens to many of us, it took a lot of work to separate from that little clothes that dressed her children during their first months and years of life. So after thinking about what I would do because I couldn't keep it all, He decided that he would choose the clothes and shoes he liked best and prepare some souvenir kits for his children.

Using special bags to store clothes, she placed in each one the favorite baby clothes of her children, as well as the accessories and shoes that she liked most. In addition, he wrote each one a small note by hand, so that they could read it in the future.

@joannagaines has been cleaning up her attic (and sharing it with us via her Insta stories) and this idea for saving her favorite kids clothes and shoes is the best.

The photograph of the finished kits was originally shared in their Instagram stories, but was later published on the Instagram account of the television station where their home renovation program was broadcast.

Joanna's idea delighted fans, not only because It is a beautiful way to inherit and give your children something tangible from their first years of lifeIt is also a practical and safe way to keep baby clothes for a long time.

Other forms of to keep your children's baby clothes, is to transform it into something that can serve and accompany them, like a quilt made with pieces of baby clothes, or something a little more creative, like a teddy bear.

What do you think of this idea? Do you keep any baby clothes for your children?
