That terrible pregnancy in which you are nauseous until the day of delivery

There are many women who claim that pregnancy is one of the most beautiful times they have lived. There are others who consider it one of the worst times of their lives, and surely among them are women who, like Miriam, my wife, have had one of those terrible pregnancies in which they are nauseous until the day of delivery.

Why nausea?

Nausea in pregnancy is quite common for many women and although the cause is not known exactly, it is thought that are the hormones, with its changes, those that cause them. The fact is that why it is a little the least, because the reason is useful when it can be solved, and in a pregnancy there is nothing to do because changes are inevitable.

The important thing, in case of nausea, is to know what to do to control them or, at least, to try to mitigate them. The most common tips if the morning sickness is as follows:

  • Leave a couple of cookies or a toast on the bedside table and when you wake up, before you get out of bed, eat them little by little. Stay in bed for a little while and when you get up, do it slowly.
  • Eat whatever your body asks for, but avoid hot foods and liquid foods (they vomit more easily).

If nausea happens after meals:

  • A while before eating, take a tablespoon of condensed milk. After about ten minutes, you can start eating.
  • Do not lie down after eating.
  • Whenever possible, rest half an hour after lunch and dinner.

If they happen in the afternoon:

  • Take the opportunity to have breakfast and eat well, and the rest of the day eat less.
  • Try to avoid getting tired during the day, or in the afternoon you will find yourself worse.

And if dizziness and nausea occur throughout the day:

  • Eat little and do it often.
  • Go to the safe and take the food that you know will sit well.
  • Eat slowly and chew food well.
  • Take gingerbread cookies, which relieves nausea.
  • Cook food easily, without too much seasoning.
  • Drink fluids to be well hydrated, but no more than the body asks.
  • Stay away from strong smells.
  • Avoid environments that you know will be charged or too hot.

But, the nausea is not until 3 months?

Usually yes. It is usual. The first trimester is when a pregnant woman is worse and nausea is sometimes the sign that one is pregnant. That is, there are those who do not realize pregnancy until they begin with nausea and vomiting, which are then associated with a possible pregnancy and are tested.

As I have explained on more than one occasion, Miriam had each pregnancy worse than the last, and in his third pregnancy different dates were marked as a goal, such as the day from which he would begin to feel better. When the nausea and dizziness began I took it as I could, knowing that after 12 weeks I would be much better.

When he arrived at 12 weeks he was the same, so he started searching online and read cases of women who had nausea at 14 or 15 weeks. After those 14-15 weeks, everything remained the same, so he read then of women who lasted until 20 weeks and then they were already better.

At 20 weeks, we knew he was a child, but she was still fatal: "when the second trimester ends"he thought. But that date came and nothing changed ... that's when it was confirmed what he feared most, that the whole pregnancy would be of nausea, vomiting and dizziness, and the truth is that he had a very bad time, because there were days that he was getting up from bed and all he did was move to the couch.

And he already had two children! Imagine what I was when I got home from work: my wife on the couch, lying with a face of "how beautiful the white light is, what peace, I'm not afraid of dying", my two children as if someone I would have released in the jungle and "the jungle." My house was the Amazon. But literally, that one day picking up I was saved from a snake bite by the hair.

Cariban "by the venaaaa"

And they, poor, just asking the gynecologist what they can take, asking what it is the highest dose that they can ingest without the child being born green. And there they go, with the highest dose every day, that if they could inject it into a vein they did it, of the despair they carry. In a week they end up with the city's Cariban stock, so you almost have to go looking for it in the corners of the outlying neighborhoods, illegally, paying it at the price of hard drugs.

And it is the same, they continue with their dizziness and nausea, who do not know if that does something but, just in case, they take it. I know of one who vomited so much, so much, that he was walking down the street, talking to you, and suddenly he said "a moment", He stepped aside, vomited, cleaned himself, and moved on Like if it was the most normal thing in the world. She, at least, did not have dizziness all day, like Miriam, but it is also true that my wife vomited much less.

Until the day of delivery?

So is! Until the day of delivery, not one more day, not one day less. It was leaving Guim, being born, and all the evils went away. She felt great, as if she had regained her life, her body and now she lived in an alternative reality, now, real.

Come on, that is not to discourage those who are in the second trimester and see that they continue with nausea, dizziness and vomiting, but it is possible that it happens to you: there are women who are not removed until the day of delivery.
