Salmon Marmitako The softest fish recipe everyone will like

Fresh Norwegian salmon is a fish raised through an aquaculture system, which reduces the risk of mercury from other large fish such as tuna or bonito. That's why we wanted to do with it this Salmon Marmitako recipe, a traditional seafood stew that the whole family will definitely like.

It is a soft version of this traditional recipe, whose origin comes from fishing boats when preparing a kettle with a potato stew with vegetables and vegetables, to which the pieces of fish were added - normally beautiful from the north. Today we have made it very simple and passed through the blender so that children can enjoy it with us and get used to eating more fish dishes.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 1 scallion, 1/2 red pepper, 3 medium potatoes, 2 loins of Norwegian salmon (about 300 g), two tablespoons of tomato sauce, fish stock

How to make a salmon marmitako

We start preparing the base of the stew, for which we chop the scallion and the pepper in small pieces and let them simmer. Being also for children we don't use garlic. Once the onion is poached, add the potatoes and the tomato spoon, stirring well so that everything is impregnated.

Cover with fish stock and let simmer until the potatoes are very creamy and we can break them without difficulty with a fork. Will be necessary about twenty minutess so that they remain in their point.

We carefully remove the potatoes, we crush the sauce so that there is no tripping and reintegrate the potatoes, also adding the dice of salmon. We can also add a little more broth if we see that it was too thick.

Let cook for two or three minutes so that the salmon is very juicy and we put out the fire, leaving the pan covered and taking it to the table where we will serve it immediately to take this hot stew.
