Paternity is also contagious: seven firefighters have been parents of seven babies in 14 months

It is scientifically proven that motherhood is contagious. When a woman becomes pregnant, the chances that other women in her environment, such as sisters, friends or co-workers, will also become pregnant in the following year.

Apparently, there would be a similar effect among men if we check what has happened between a group of colleagues from the Fire Department of Glenpool (Oklahoma). Seven firefighters from that department have been parents in 14 months of seven beautiful babies, five girls and two boys. Or will it be just chance?

To celebrate, they decided to take a photo session with their babies, aged between four weeks and fifteen months, all born between February 7, 2017 and April 20, 2018.

The idea of the photos was of the women of the firemen, who sought inspiration for a beautiful photo with the babies on the fire jackets of their respective parents.

"We live together and know that we can support each other"says Alyssa Shank, married to one of the firefighters, and explains that the group is really a big family.

They are all recently married young men who are forming their families and also share a very close bond, so all the ingredients are already given so that the contagious effect of pregnancy makes their own.

Something happens with firefighters ...

It is curious that last year we met a very similar case, also among a group of volunteer firefighters. Peers from the same department welcomed six babies in just seven months. They are the ones who inspired the latter with a beautiful photo session in which all parents participated with their babies.
