The "Giant Woman" will be in León until June 13

The Giant woman It is a cultural and didactic exhibition whose objective is to explain human functioning in a way never seen before: from within.

It is an exhibition with itinerant character, which has already passed through Galicia, Asturias, Madrid, Valencia and Andalusia and that is these days, from May 22 to June 13 in León, specifically in Ponferrada.

It is the representation of a woman in giant size (no less than 23 times the size of a normal woman) that allows us to enter her body to see the different organs and systems of the body in a novel way, since the different scenarios are set with light, sound and movement effects, thanks to robotics and animatronics.

The exhibition is divided into four zones: the head, the rib cage, the stomach and the abdomen. In the latter one can observe, among other areas, the woman's uterus, in which a baby is in the fetal position that, when perceiving the contractions, it begins to move until it adopts the right position to be born.

The visits are guided and last about 30 minutes. A speech and the presence of specialized monitors help to understand the functioning of the different organs and systems to visitors, who will be dressed in special attire to be able to enter maximum conditions of asepsis inside the woman's body (lest microbes enter with them dangerous).

It is undoubtedly an original and different exhibition to the usual one that in addition to fun seems very didactic. Personally it seems a very striking proposal, among other things because seeing a large baby move in a huge uterus should be a pass.
