Traditional carols, those of a lifetime, we know them all. See if we know that many of us are even tired of them (it doesn't motivate me too much to start listening to childhood carols now).
However, there are more catchy, funnier and even more danceable modern carols, I would say, like the "All i want for christmas is you", an already popular song thanks without a doubt to Mariah Carey and to so many great singers (many girls) who have used this song to show the world their gifts.
Well, I like this song so much that I have my children dizzy with it, putting videos of it with YouTube sung by different artists, to know different versions (notice if I like that I see myself until the current version sung by Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber).
My intention with this entry is none other than to show you some of the best known versions of it and offer you the lyrics so you can sing it with your children too, both in front of the videos, to accompany the music, as in the shower, where they rehearse great unknown voices like yours.
The video that heads the entry is that of Mariah Carey, from 1994 (it shows that it is 17 years ago). Then I put other more current versions.
The Vázquez Sounds
This version corresponds to the Vázquez brothers, two boys and a well-known girl in America. To my liking, the girl is missing some notes, but talent is not lacking.
Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber
This is the current version, this year, of the Christmas carol, with Mariah Carey after a few aesthetic operations and with Justin Bieber, the teenage mass idol. Together they form a somewhat strange couple, really.
Olivia Olson
This is the version that appeared in the movie Love actually (highly recommended, if you have not seen it), sung by Olivia Olson, with which this young singer became known worldwide.
Rhema Marvanne
This is the version sung by Rhema Marvanne, a 7-year-old girl who has already recorded several albums. It is the one that my son Aran (the little one) likes best, I guess because a girl sings it.
