Children's activities of the Mapfre Foundation at the Madrid Book Fair 2012

As every year, it is celebrated the Book Fair in Madrid with activities for the little ones organized by the Mapfre Foundation in its pavilion. So if you plan to go to this appointment with the books, do not forget your children.

We will have to approach the Children's Activities Pavilion in the Retiro Park, where multiple activities await us, whose main objective is to encourage reading, transmit the importance of integration as a basic value of collective living and culture in general.

The Pavilion will be open for the entire duration of the Fair (until June 10) with activities for children, with activities aimed at the school public every morning from Monday to Friday and to the entire public the rest of the time. The schedule for this weekend starts today:

In addition to the workshops, in a permanent way and for children from three to ten years, you can enjoy other initiatives related to books, such as "Tales in search of end", where children will become writers; or if they prefer to be cartoonists they will do it in the "Tales in search of illustration". In addition they can also participate collectively in the preparation of the giant Book.

In the program you can see all the activities and workshops, so that you do not miss any. The capacity is limited in the workshops and the registration is done in the Pavilion itself. The enclosure is perfectly adapted so that all children can access it without any impediment. The schedule of the pavilion is as follows:

  • For schools: from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • For the general public: from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays.

Children's activities of the Mapfre Foundation at the Book Fair Madrid 2012 are free and some of the workshops will have a Spanish sign language interpreter. An excellent way to bring children closer to books and the magic of stories.
