One of the biggest steps a person, and a child, can take to beat cancer is want to heal. For that we must try to help them feel good, happy, hopeful and eager to fight. Then, obviously, there are the treatments, which must play their part and which, unfortunately, still have many side effects.
We talked, of course, about the chemotherapy, a very hard treatment for children who, in a Childhood Cancer unit in Brazil have decided rename as the "Super Formula", making use of some boxes like the ones that superheroes have come to use on occasion in some comics that children can read.
It is a strategy of the Cancer Center of the A.C. Hospital. Camargo in São Paulo, who contacted the JWT advertising agency, which works for Warner Bros. From the sum of those contacts came the idea of doing something so that the children had a little more hope, a little more patience, and that they felt a little like superheroes, although for many they are without the need for any invention.
This is how they decided to carry out a three-way strategy. On the one hand they decorated the area and the games room of the unit with images of the best-known D.C. superheroes, on the other hand, designed and created plastic covers, easily sterilizable, in which to hide chemotherapy or, in other words, with which to transform the treatment into a super formula for children, and finally created a series of exclusive comics in which the superheroes of the Justice League went through experiences similar to that of the children, regaining their strength thanks to the super formula.

As I say, they are children who for their continuous struggle and for their desire to live they are already heroes for all of us. However, they probably don't feel that way, so help them with things like that, like doing cancer units, places where one would never want to be, a place where superheroes come to regain strength, where to receive the super formula and where to read that even your favorite heroes have ever had to undergo these treatments, it is appreciated. What less, for the children. Hopefully other hospitals take note and carry out similar initiatives.
